Not the disappointment we all dreaded. With numerous flaws such as a dull plot and uninspiring villain, there’s still lots to enjoy – fun characters, exciting set-pieces with a lighter tone and laughs to keep you happy
Certainly much more a comedy than a horror – a shame they couldn’t marry the two genres together more. Still, a few scares here with lots of laughs there, but with lots of fun throughout with a charismatic, eventually lovable lead.
A solid whodunit thriller, but a mixed bag. While the style, atmosphere and slow unveiling of the mystery isn’t as strong or fun as it could be, Kenneth Branagh leads a phenomenal all-star cast with some excellent performances.
